The Fifth Estate, a film about Julian Assange and Wikileaks, opens the 2013 edition of the Toronto International Film festival (TIFF) on Thursday, September 5.
The festival began in 1976 as the “Festival of Festivals,” collecting the best films from other film festivals around the world The first year, 35,000 watched 127 films from 30 countries.
This year the festival presents 288 features and 78 shorts from 70 countries. The list includes 31 Canadian features (including co-productions).
