Today a full length interview with one of Canada’s most respected politicians and statesmen.
The Right Honourable Joe Clark has served as Canada’s Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Minister of Constitutional Affairs, and in several other senior leadership positions. He was elected eight times to the federal House of Commons and was the first and only Alberta native to ever serve as Prime Minister of Canada.
However, for the past few years, his interest has been more on the international scene and on Canada’s role there. Or, as he sees it, diminishing role.
He has spent the last three years writing a book on Canada’s place in world affairs, and how we have been involved successfully in resolving many international disputes and in the development of global treaties. But he feels that the current government has been backing away from the international scene. That, he says, is not good for Canada, or for the world.
