Eugenie Bouchard and Wimbledon defeat

Eugenie Bouchard is out of Wimbledon, and out of the Top 20 ranking in the world of tennis, after losing yesterday, in straight sets, to 117th-ranked Duan Ying-Ying of China, 7-6 (6), 6-4

The 21 year-old Montrealer has won just two victories in her last 13 matches.  What a difference a year makes. This time last summer Eugenie Bouchard was soaring up the rankings making history as the first Canadian singles finalist at Wimbledon.

Many are asking what the problem is, but Genie has responded with fierce determination, saying whatever the outcome today, her career will continue.

People are also questioning the wisdom of her severing her relationship with coach Nick Saviano last November.
