Blue Jays sign Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has grown up in the game of baseball, and now he’s reportedly coming back to Canada.  The son of legendary Montreal Expo, Vladimir Guerrero, has been signed by the Blue Jays according to MLB.com.

Guerrero Jr. is the year’s top international prospect. The deal was reported to be $4.1 million though some sources are saying that amount is too high.

There has been no confirmation from the Blue Jays or the 16 year-old Guerrero’s representatives yet  but the outfielder has tremendous power and hitting ability,

He does not, however, have his father’s remarkable throwing arm and could end up as a first baseman rather than an outfielder.

The Montreal Expos were the first major league baseball team in Canada established in 1969 until 2004 when they were relocated to Washington and renamed the Capitals. The Toronto Blue Jays, have been going strong since 1977.
