Survival of the Inuit language in the Arctic – Babylone Café
Eye on the Arctic was happy to be invited on Radio-Canada’s French-language show Babylone Café this weekend.
The week’s theme was the circumpolar world.
We were invited to talk about some about the issues surrounding the controversial question of whether or not to standardize the Inuit language in the Arctic.
Other guests included Corto Fajal, a filmmaker who lived with a Sami family for a year in Arctic Scandinavia and Agathe Devisme, a chef living in Greenland who incorporates Greenlandic ingrediants into cuisine from her native France.
