Canadian federal elections: Catch up on Nunavut candidates forum
Three of the four candidates running to become Nunavut’s next member of Parliament participated in an election forum in Iqaluit on Thursday night.
The NDP’s Mumilaaq Qaqqaq, the Conservative’s Leona Aglukkaq and the Liberal’s Megan Pizzo-Lyall were on stage at Inuksuk High School, in a forum hosted by CBC’s Pauline Pemik.
Nunavut’s Green Party candidate, Douglas Roy, did not attend. He recorded an introductory statement that was played at the forum.
The event was streamed on CBC Nunavut’s Facebook page and broadcast live on CBC Radio One in the territory. The first hour of the forum was in Inuktitut, while the second hour was in English.
You can watch English and Inuktitut versions of the forum in the Facebook video players below.
