Hydropower to be no longer classed as sustainable, according to EU proposal

- Hydropower should no longer be classified as a sustainable energy source according to an EU Commission green proposal.
- But Swedish energy companies are critical because they say it will be more difficult to attract investment.
- Green Party co-leader Per Bolund says the government is trying to get hydroelectricity and bioenergy included on the EU’s taxonomy list.
