Employees at Northvolt may be forced to leave Sweden
- Many employees at Northvolt are in Sweden on work visas and now risk being forced to leave the country if they lose their jobs and cannot find a new one within 90 days.
- ”It’s hard, it’s not easy news, but we have to deal with it,” one Northvolt employee on a work visa from India told Swedish Radio News in Skellefteå following Monday’s announcement of lay-offs at the company’s battery factory in the northern town.
- Like many others on work visas, he does not want to say his name for fear of how it might affect his chances of keeping his job
