Skellefteå municipality on Northvolt lay-offs: We aim to keep everyone

• Car battery manufacturer Northvolt announced that 1,600 jobs are to go in Sweden, 1,000 of them at its plant in Skellefteå.
• A lot of the employees at Northvolt in Skellefteå have work permits and will need to find employment if they want to stay in Sweden.
• Kristina Sundin Jonsson at Skellefteå municipality says: ”We want to keep those thousand people that eventually could risk to lose their jobs.”
