Canada’s .ca domain authority announces funding for innovative ideas, programs

The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) has announced a new program in which “innovative ideas and programs that make the Internet better for all Canadians could receive up to $100,000 in funding”.

CIRA will be investing up to $1 million, with funding amounts ranging between $25,000 and $100,000.

CIRA is a non-profit organization that manages Canada’s .CA domain name registry.

RCI’s Wojtek Gwiazda talked to CIRA’s President and CEO Byron Holland about the reasons for the new program.
