Fewer homes sold, prices still climbing

The price of a Canadian home continued to go up in March but far fewer are being sold.  The number of sales declined by 15.3 per cent compared to March of last year according to the Canadian Real Estate Association.

Home sales declined in Vancouver and Toronto, prices went up in the western cities of Calgary and Edmonton.  The latter two cities are in the province of Alberta where the oil industry keeps the economy ticking.
