Two caregivers at a daycare in Ottawa were fired after children were taped to their cots during nap time. It seems that when the kids at Bayview Public School would not settle down one worker used masking tape to confine them.
There were three or four children involved and none was injured. It’s not known whether this happened on other occasions. Ottawa police have not launched a criminal investigation.
The workers could lose their certificates which would prevent them from working in licensed daycares in future.
