Canada’s parliamentarians back, discuss Ukraine, economy and military suicides

The parliamentary holiday break ended on Monday (January 27) with Members of Parliament back in Ottawa with a flurry of speeches, appearances and the first Question Period in the House of Commons of 2014.

After six weeks away from parliament there were many questions from the opposition, the arrival in the House of four newly elected MPs, and hint at some of the political issues the parties intend to use to win Canadians’ confidence as a federal election looms in 2015.
