It’s known as the March Break and while the dates may differ, most Canadian school children have a week off sometime in March to enjoy what’s left of the winter.
Ski hills will be more crowded. Museums, galleries and entertainment venues offer special programming for children and families. And this year, being an exceptionally cold and snowy season, it’s expected more people will be heading south to bask in warmer temperatures and sunshine.
