Back for its 43rd annual edition the Festival du nouveau cinéma continues its “spotlight on experimental cinema” for the duration of the festival from October 8 to 19 in Montreal.
The festival’s co-founder and programming director says of this year’s festival the “cinéGang totally outdid themselves They’ve concocted something unforgettable, surprising, distinctive, mindful, subtle and buoyant You’ll find all of this and more in a lineup that travels to the furthest reaches of cinema You’ll laugh, cry, enjoy, love and share. Many of the great filmmakers you know will be here along with a whole slew of new talents for you to discover.”
The festival also includes the FNC Lab film competition. Twenty-five films are presented in the short film category with some of the biggest names in experimental film, including Alexandre Larose, Vincent Grenier, Matias Meyer, Kazik Radwanski, Steven Woloshen, Philip Hoffman and Mike Hoolboom.
