Nuka De Jocas-McCrae and his friends Luc Labelle and Julien Granger are packing enough food for 10 days as they set off from Montreal’s Old Port tomorrow morning.  They will paddle south to Lake Champlain, and then on down New York’s Hudson River.

They will continue down the eastern coast of the United States, camping as they go, in the hope of reaching the Yucatan Penninsula in about 15 months.

The trio met Mylene Paquette recently to some advice.  Mylene was the lone woman who rowed across the Atlantic Ocean in 2013.
