Madonna begins world tour in Montreal

Madonna began her latest tour in Montreal last night. Promoting her most recent album, ‘Rebel Heart’, the sold-out show was a mix of her classics and some of the new material.

A soulful rendition of “La Vie en Rose” went over like a charm, despite a flubbed word or two, that had the star apologizing for her French. Madonna’s maternal ancestors, in the Fortin family, trace back to Quebec.

According to reviews today, the show was a big hit with fans who sang and danced along with the 57 year-old Material Girl. Pole-dancing nuns and the Last Supper tableau are sure to ruffle some feathers, as the tour continues into 2016, wrapping up in Brisbane, Australia at the end of March.

Next Thursday, Madonna plays Madison Square Garden with Amy Schumer opening. It should be an interesting night.
