Chelsea Carey rose to the occasion on the final draw of the round-robin at the Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Meridian Manufacturing, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

“The crowd is just amazing. I mean come on, it doesn’t get better than that in sports, I don’t think”

Meanwhile, Eve Muirhead is going home without a shot at her second world title.

Carey described last night’s victory before the home-crowd to a reporter saying “That’s easily the coolest thing I’ve ever experienced right there,” she said.. “The crowd is just amazing. I mean come on, it doesn’t get better than that in sports, I don’t think.

“It’s been absolutely incredible. Bar none, the best thing I’ve ever experienced.”
