Doctors told Lucila Munaretto she might never dance again, but the 21-year old aims to prove them wrong tomorrow, reports Canadian Press. The Argentinian ballerina came to Canada’s western province of British Columbia in 2012 on a dance scholarship.

Doctors induced two-week coma
Munaretto collided with a minivan while in-line skating in North Vancouver on August 2015. She suffered a broken jaw as well as neck, spine and brain injuries. Doctors placed her in a coma for two weeks.
“When I was lying in the hospital and the doctors would tell me, well maybe you won’t be able to dance again. I was like nope, nope that’s not true,” she told CBC news.

How she came back
To get herself back to dancing she said she had to start at the beginning. “I just try to remember what was my feeling when I was four years old and I bring it back to now,” she told CBC reporters.
The ballet company, Coastal City Ballet supported her and raised almost $45,000 for medical and rehabilitation expenses. Munaretto will perform in the company’s production of Swan Lake tomorrow.
