Northern Sweden could see up to 30 cm of snow this weekend

  • The national weather service has issued a class one warning – its most moderate on a scale of three, for parts of Norrbotten and Västerbotten for heavy snowfall Friday.
  • According to SMHI’s weather map, the interior of Norrbotten county will get the brunt of it, 20-30 cm, and in some cases, the snow could be mixed with rain.
  • Warnings for gales have also been issued for the seas around the entire Swedish coastline, aside from the Öresund in the south.
