Lice infestations have kept students away from school for many years in Canada, but in the wake of a pronouncement by the Canadian Pediatric Society, that practice is now under review.
The CPS says keeping kids out of school while they have lice is not necessary and is detrimental to the child’s learning. While several school boards are examining the issue, many parents are protesting the development.
