Sugaring-off over the holidays

This long week-end provides an opportunity for people in eastern-Canada, where the maple trees grow, the occasion to get out of the city and get-together in the spring ritual known as sugaring-off.

A walk in the woods, can provide the appetite necessary for the traditional meals of pancakes, eggs, beans and tortiere, a Quebec meat-pie, that gets smothered in maple syrup. Only two weeks left to enjoy it all.(ck)
