Coca-Cola reaches tentative agreeement

Coca-Cola and its unionized workers at one of the soft drink company’s largest plants in Canada, have come to a tentative agreement.

Located just outside Toronto, the Brampton plant employs 700 people.

“While the strike was not something that anyone wanted, we are pleased that over the past three weeks, the Brampton facility remained open and we were able to serve the primary needs of our customers,” the Coca-Cola said in a release.

The company describes the terms of the agreement aa “fair and equitable,” for the employees, the union and the company.

Canadian Auto Workers Local 973 membership has yet to vote on the agreement.
