Canada’s media and Syria – reflections and caution

As Canadian media continue to discuss the pros and cons of intervention in Syria, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon made it clear, an intervention without UN approval, would be illegal.

Last week Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper said he had become a reluctant supporter of intervention, but underlined that Canada itself was not in a position to contribute militarily.
