The western province of Albert got its first blast of winter weather Sunday with snow and high winds causing 343 vehicle crashes and two deaths. Snowfall warnings have been lifted and the snow is expected to melt since temperatures are still relatively high.
Road crews were out to spread salt and abrasives on the major routes around Calgary, particularly on difficult spots like bridge decks and hill.
