A one day conference on Wednesday (October 30) in Ottawa will look at improving humanitarian response to disasters around the world.
Entitled “The Future of Humanitarian Response: Towards More Effective, Accountable and Innovative Approaches” the conference is co-hosted by Canada’s Humanitarian Coalition of five aid agencies, and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the conference brings together aid agency personnel, academics, government personnel and Canada’s Minister of International Development Christian Paradis.
