Montreal’s International Jazz Festival is into it’s 35th line-up and this year, like so many others, promises to be a wonderful celebration.
It opened last night with Cassandra Wilson, Angélique Kidjo, and Ranee Lee among others, taking to the stage.

One of the world’s great festivals will continue to fill the streets and venues with some of the best music in the world today. Artists such as Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, Earth Wind & Fire, Pink Martini, Buddy Guy Daniel Lanois, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Marcus Miller, Beck, and Harry Manx are a few of the big names performing until July 6th.
Diana Krall will be the featured free, outdoor concert performer Sunday evening, while husband, Elvis Costello wraps up his concert in Montreal’s recently opened Symphony Hall just steps away.
