To do it right, and to learn more about this wonderful ages old invention Canadian Mirella Amato has all the tips.  She should, she is Canada’s only “master certified cicerone” the beer equivalent of a top wine sommelier.

She loves the science behind it, the atmostphere, the wonderful and widely varying types of beer, and to share that love and help others enjoy, understand and  the experience even more she’s built a website and now a great new book, called “Beerology”.

Now you may be a beer drinker of many years, but do you really know the difference between an ale and a pilsener, or a lager?

This book will give you the answers and many more that may astound your friends at the next gathering at the BBQ or in the pub.

The book is divided into sections labelled

-Beer Basics, with chapters on storage,presentation, and what to look for in beer tasting,

Just like a sommelier might suggest which wines go best with which foods, the same concept works with beer, and Amato’s chapter in dining helps guide you on that front and may inspire you to try a change from wine at your next meal.
