Broadcast regulatory body CRTC puts out citizen’s guide to participating

Canada’s broadcast regulatory body the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has published a guide to tell Canadians how they can participate in CRTC’s activities and proceedings and why that’s important.

Called “It’s Your CRTC! Your 5-minute Guide to Understanding and Participating in Our Activities” the guide is part of series of steps the body is taking to get Canadians involved in its public proceedings.

“The CRTC wants to put Canadians at the centre of their communication system. And that means making their voices heard and their opinions known,” said Jean-Pierre Blais, CRTC Chairman,in a statement released Tuesday, September 2.

The CRTC is an independent public body in charge of regulating and supervising Canadian broadcasting and telecommunications.
