Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper wrapped up his official visit to China on Sunday (November 9) which included his participation in an APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation ) summit and Canada signing $2.5 billion dollars worth of agreements with China.
During a press conference on Sunday, the Prime Minister said human rights issues, and the arrest of a Canadian couple in China on charges of spying were raised privately with Chinese authorities. The public appearances of the Prime Minister and a Canadian delegation of ministers and business representatives focused on Canada-China economic relations.
