New Canada-US border agreement allows more pre-clearance, new rights for officers

In announcing a new Canada-United States border agreement in Washington on Monday (March 16) Jeh Johnson, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Canada’s Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney emphasized the increased pre-clearance that will be done in each of the countries before people cross the border.
