Degrassi, the hit Canadian TV teen drama is coming to an end this July with a two-week finale beginning on the 20th, on MTV Canada, and U.S. channel TeenNick. It will consist of 12 half-hour episodes.

A fictional drama set in a Toronto high school, it follows a group of junior high and high school students confronting real-life challenges. The show was widely credited for taking on the tough teen dilemmas of sex and teen pregnancy, drugs, date rape, and gay issues.

The show launched the careers of people like rap artist, Drake, and actor and model Nina Dobrev.  It’s rumoured the two may be making guest appearances.

“Thank you to Linda Schuyler and Stephen Stohn, and all the cast and crew at Epitome Pictures for delivering Bell Media with 14 years of creative and engaging content that truly captured the spirit of Canadian youth through truthful and provocative stories,” Phil King, CTV president sports, and entertainment programming, said in a press release.
