The Montreal-based company, Addition Elle, will be showing it plus size fashion wear as part of the official shows at New York’s Fashion Week. In a news release, it says taking its ‘fashion democracy message’ there indicates “just how far the brand and fashion industry have evolved.”
It will also launch a pop-up shop and new U.S. website in a bid to expand its reach into the United States. Addition Elle has been serving the Canadian plus size market for over 30 years by providing trendy and fashionable ready-to-wear clothing. The chain’s stated philosophy is “grounded in the belief that style isn’t limited by size” and it promises to “bring body diversity to the runway.”

Addition Elle has over 100 stores in Canada and is a division of major retailer, Reitmans Canada Limited.
New York Fashion Week is a semi-annual series of events to showcase fashion collections from around the world. It is one of four such events also held in Paris, London and Milan.
