Costumes honoring Canadian astronaut popular on Halloween

Canadians young and old are dressing up as astronauts for Halloween, and the idea came from Canada’s most popular astronaut himself. Last week, Chris Hadfield, the first Canadian commander of the International Space Station, tweeted out a call for pictures of astronaut costumes for Halloween.

“I’ll send the winners some cool prizes!” he tweeted.

That’s all it took for people to send pictures in creative astronaut costumes. Here are a few:
