Politics, art, ideas at centre of new Spur Festival

Helen Walsh believes Canadians are hungry for ideas, and want to share them. And to make that happen she founded the Spur Festival to let people share conversations.

Sponsored by the Literary Review of Canada (which she co-publishes) and Diaspora Dialogues, this year’s festival will be held in three cities: Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver.

Future editions of the festival are planned for at least four other cities.

RCI’s Wojtek Gwiazda spoke to Walsh about the festival and how it started.
