On this edition of Politics Today RCI’s Wojtek Gwiazda focused on the increased antagonisms between Canada’s two main opposition parties: the Official Opposition NDP and the Liberal Party of Canada. He discussed the Conservative government’s TV attack ads against the new Liberal opposition leader Justin Trudeau and the quick response from the Trudeau team.
As well Wojtek dealt with the ruling by the Speaker of the House of Commons on MP speaking privileges.
And he reported on Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird who Friday said he was “appalled” that Sri Lanka would be hosting the next Commonwealth summit.
