On this edition of Politics Today RCI’s Wojtek Gwiazda talks about the contested results of a census survey from 2011, after the federal government lifted a requirement for Canadians to fill out the forms. First results from this survey were released this past week.

Wojtek also deals with statements made by Canada’s Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver about the EU and oil sands crude. As well, he reports on the formalized shift of orientation at the innovative government agency, the National Research Council. The government has decided to push it decidedly towards business oriented goals, as opposed to basic science research.

And about 100 parliamentarians and their staff fasted this past Wednesday, Wojtek explains why.
