Finance minister highlights tax break for Canadian manufacturers

Canada’s Finance Minister Jim Flaherty promoted the federal government’s aid to Canadian manufacturers in a public appearance in the city of Brampton, in the province of Ontario, Wednesday (September 18).

He highlighted the $1.4 billion in tax relief for Canadian manufacturers as promised in this year’s federal budget.

“Our Government is committed to helping Canadian manufacturers create jobs and growth across Canada and right here in Brampton,” said Minister Flaherty. “This measure builds on our strong record of lowering taxes and supporting Canada’s manufacturers by helping them make the additional investments needed to improve productivity and create jobs.”
