On this edition of Politics Today RCI’s Wojtek Gwiazda focuses on the decision by Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper to boycott the Commonwealth Summit in Sri Lanka.

He also deals with the questions raised by alleged spying by Canada’s ultra secret electronics surveillance agency CSEC, the Communications Security Establishment of Canada, on communications of Brazil’s Mining and Energy Ministry.

There was more discussion of the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline project, and the social democratic NDP party was defeated in an election in the Atlantic coast province of Nova Scotia.
