A new app featuring Canadian scenery and wildlife is being offered by Canada’s public broadcaster, CBC, for free until Thursday, March 13, 2014. The app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch features HD video and photos shot in some of the most remote regions of Canada.

The material was created during filming of a four-part documentary series on CBC-TV’s program The Nature of Things which airs at 8pm local time on the same date.

The series showcases wilderness and wild animals, while also telling the story of how humans influenced wild places “for thousands of years in surprising ways.”
