Revenue Canada employees win big in lottery

The Canada Revenue Agency, is probably missing a few employees in Ottawa today.  And some of them may need a little help with their next tax return.  26 employees, some former, most still on the job, won over $32 C million in a lottery last Friday.

Yesterday 23 of them were in Toronto to pick up their cheque for $32,685,304.80

Philippe Bussière must be the hero of the group.  He had been in charge of the collection for about six years.

… a lot of joyous screaming on the phone

In a media release, issued by the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation, Bussiere said he’s overwhelmed. He said, “It’s been a crazy weekend of talking to the group, convincing them this win was not a joke. I heard a lot of joyous screaming on the phone.”

The winners range in age from 27 to 63 years old.  No word yet on any plans for the money
