Ice-fishing in Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland

This is a shot by Charlie Cheeseman, uploaded to CBC Newfoundland on June 24, 2014.

Charlie wrote, “While ice fishing in the community of Open Hall, Bonavista Bay, I captured a big one, trying to jump away”

t’s been a wonderful “iceberg” season and a long one, off the coast of Newfoundland.

While this may not be good news when it comes to the realities of climate change with more of the arctic ice breaking off and floating south, it is great news for Newfoundlanders and tourists alike.
