One Canadian Elizabeth Gallagher has an interesting opportunity to consider. She could accept the offer of a round-the-world vacation over Christmas, from a stranger, with apparently no strings attached.
Following the break-up of his relationship with former girlfriend Elizabeth Gallagher, Jordan Axani, of Toronto, finds himself with a ticket for a Christmas vacation the two had planned together in better days.
Now Axani says he doesn’t want to see the ticket go to waste, so he’s offering it to another Elizabeth Gallagher. All she needs is a valid Canadian passport and a certain spirit of adventure.
He posted the invitation on Reddit on Sunday. “My thinking is there’s got to be at least a couple of dozen in Canada.” Axani told CBC radio program ‘As it Happens’.
Axani said he’s already has a “sea of e-mails” that he has yet to go through. The trip is for flights only, and includes stops in Milan, Paris, Bankkok, and New Delhi.
When asked why he didn’t try to change the name, Axani explained that he bought the tickets last March on an extreme discount from a discount website. He said it would be “damn near impossible” and “not worth the headache”
There’s still no word on whether a willing Elizabeth has been found, but there was one more proviso on Jordan Azani’s list: He’d like the next Elizabeth to, “Pay it forward, I’ve been lucky in life and this is me giving back to the universe. Do something similar someday”
