Canadians have long enjoyed travelling to Cuban beaches to get away from the long and cold winter. Changing U.S. policy means they may soon have to share those beaches with U.S. citizens.

Canadians wonder will cheap travel to Cuba change?

While the world wonders about the political implications of U.S. plans to normalize relations with Cuba, Canadians may be forgiven for wondering whether one of their best winter travel options will change.

Many Canadians love to escape the long and harsh winters by travelling to Caribbean beaches for a week or two, and Cuba has long been an inexpensive and attractive destination.

There is concern that if travel restrictions on U.S. citizens are lifted there will be an influx of American tourists, prices will increase and, oh my, could fast food chains be far behind?

First world problems.
