It is a somewhat unique venture.
In December a Vancouver, British Columbia, woman began her operation which was part café, and part foster home for rescued cats.
Customers at the “Catfé” could sip their coffee and enjoy the company of about a dozen cats supplied by the local SPCA, all of which are up for adoption

It seems the Catfé is a victim of it’s own success.
In less than a month after opening, the operation ran out of cats as all eleven were adopted.

Catfé owner Michelle Furbacher said weather conditions and road closures over the Christmas/New Year’s period prevented more cats from being delivered and so she closed the shop temporarily until the SPCA brought more felines in, expected today.
The Catfé has two sections, one for food and drink which is kept separate due to food safety rules, and a “cat lounge” section where customers can hang out with the furry felines.

A sign outside the shop and on the website reads, “Closed due to catlessness”
The Catfe is expected to have new arrivals and reopen, tomorrow, Friday.
