Blue Jays win opener against Tampa Bay Rays

Blue Jays fans are getting ready for another great season with the news of a victory for Toronto’s baseball team in their season-opener in Florida.

The only Canadian team in the American League, the Blue Jays played the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg yesterday, winning 5 – 3.

The Blue Jays thrilled Canadians last summer and fall as they played their way to within two games of the World Series.

Hopes are high the team will continue where they left off, and the fans are solidly behind them. This Friday’s home-opener against the Boston Red Sox, is sold out.
