Talking about breastfeeding: news and reports by Radio Canada International

The 24th edition of the World Breastfeeding Week started on August 1st and will continue until August 7th. This event, created by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), is endorsed by the World Health Organization and the UNICEF and celebrated in 170 countries around the world.

This year, the central theme of the event, “Breastfeeding: A key to Sustainable Development”, highlighted the impact of breastfeeding on children and mothers’ health and on a country’s development.
