Lagging behind the other runners in the 100-metre race at the Americas Masters Games in Vancouver on Monday, Man Kaur held her form and never broke stride.

Her time of time of one minute 20 seconds was good enough to win gold in her age group, from which she was the only competitor.
Kaur, who was born in India, is 100.
She began running seven years ago at the behest of her 78-year-old son, Gurdev Singh, who says he knew she would become a star.
Singh had that right.
Since turning 93, Kaur has won more than 20 medals in competitions around the world, including two other golds she won this week in shot put and javelin events.
Her secret to longevity?
“A good diet and lots of exercise.”
