Veteran goaltender and three-time Olympic gold medallist Kim St-Pierre has retired from the Canadian women’s hockey team.
She is the second player to recently leave the national team. Sarah Vaillancourt did so last week.
St-Pierre said, “Being part of three Olympic teams and nine world championship teams, I think I accomplished everything that I wanted to accomplish. That’s why I retire today with a big smile.”
St-Pierre recently had a baby boy, Liam which too, could be something making her smile.
