The suicides of three Canadian veterans of the war in Afghanistan, in separate incidents this week, has raised more questions about how much support Canada’s soldiers are getting from the military.
Both the government and the military are promising to step up efforts to help veterans.
But with reportedly 50 inquiries into soldier suicides to be concluded, Official Opposition NDP Member of Parliament Jack Harris questions how the military can have any real handle on the issue.
